Vision, Aims & Values

On 1st September 2015 the Teaching Staff met to update the “Vision Statement” for the school and to review the school’s current aims and values. The final draft was produced after further consultation with the School Council and members of the Governing Body.

Vision Statement

At Woodlands Primary School we have a safe, caring and stimulating environment, challenging each child to achieve their full potential through an exciting and creative curriculum. Through this we develop high aspirations for lifelong learners.

Aims of the School

At Woodlands Primary School we aim:

  • To provide a safe and nurturing setting in which children can learn effectively.
  • To provide a creative environment which enables each child to develop their potential academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
  • To provide a challenging curriculum in which each child develops confidence, independence, high self-esteem and self-discipline.
  • To encourage mutual respect and active participation within the wider community.
  • To develop in all children exemplary behaviour and a tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
  • To welcome parents as partners in their children’s education.
  • To foster links between local schools to ensure the education of each child is a smooth continuous process.
  • To celebrate achievement at every opportunity so children are inspired to be life-long learners.
