Acorn Class
In Acorn Class (Reception) we are taught and supported by Mrs Scott, Mrs Giles, Mrs Jairaj, Mrs Acton and Mrs Harding. We have lots of fun and learn new things through our creative, engaging and inclusive Curriculum.
These are some of the things we focus on:
Communication and Language – listening and attention, understanding, speaking
Literacy – using Read, Write, Inc. (synthetic phonics programme)
Mathematics – numbers. size and shape
Understanding the World – people and communities, the world
Physical Development – runs safely, spacial awareness, line drawing
Personal, Social, Emotional Development – health and self-care, self confidence, feelings
